Willow Tree

Willow Tree, Church Road Slapton

Some of you will have noticed that the Willow Tree at the eastern end of Church Road Slapton has been felled.

The tree and the land upon which it was sited are owned by Buckinghamshire Council. They, having taken the advice of a tree expert and legal opinion in respect of an insurance issue, decided to have the tree removed.

Slapton Parish Council was not consulted on this matter as it was a Unitary Council responsibility.

The Parish Council has been advised that Buckinghamshire Council intend to replace the tree with a different species namely a Liquidambar Styraciflua
